Starts from May 7th - May 29th. Another month of full cycling action. No EPL for me hehe. My excitement are high this time since the Pistorello (Contador) will probably rode for the last time before getting ban if the outcome of the doping charge will not in his favor. Past winners of the Giro will also compete this year such as Vicenzo Nibali (Liqui gas), Denis Menchov & Sastre (Geox TMC) and Danilo Diluca (Katusha). Other big name are Stefano Garzelli, Rinaldo Nocentini, Jose Rodolfo Serpa Perez, Alessandro Ballan, Mark Cavendish, Filippo Pozzato, Michele Scarponi, Alessandro Petacchi, Theo Bos, Tyler Farrar,and Robbie McEwen.

Pinarello Paris 2011

The PARIS Carbon is all new for 2011. The DOGMA marked the new Pinarello construction philosophy: total asymmetry. The PARIS has construction features identical to that of the DOGMA: it is produced using the EPS system and employs the Torayca 50HM1.5K Carbon with Nanoalloy technology. The visual differences compared to DOGMA are the absence of the narrowing on the fork, on the seat stay, and on the sensitive parts of the frame, and the chain stays that are straight instead of curved.

Designed and constructed with the Pinarello LAB’s SOE System (Simulation, Optimize, Evolution), Paris is compact and has harmonious lines. The PARIS comes with the Onda™ FPK fork derived from the DOGMA FPX1, with 1 1/8” to 1 1/4” coning on the fork head. It also has the Onda™ FPK rear monostay, asymmetric rear seat stays, and our tried and true Most® Croxover oversize bottom bracket. The raw frame size 54 weighs approximately 1040 grams. The PARIS Asymmetric design considerably raises the quality level of bikes considered by price to be “second-tier”, and its structural characteristics, the materials used, and the construction technologies applied situate it well above the multi-awarded PRINCE of 2009 and therefore much higher than other frames of its price segment.

Paris Roubaix 2011

Paris Roubaix has always be one of my favourite race event in pro-cycling. The one day classic race covers 162km. I still remember how Cancellara shows his power and easily past trhe other rider last year. Will he be able to do it again this year? You also can see Boonen, Pozzato, Hushovd and Flecha fight for the podium.
