Baby G Seaman BGW-101

I am not usually buy Casio Baby G. But this time it's different. Even in the Internet, the information about this watch is not very helpful. So by providing some pictures I hope this post will be useful for others. The Baby G watch box above is not the actual box for the watch. The seller gave me this box as a replacement. This is a Baby G Seaman.
Finding a Baby G Frogman is hard but getting a Baby G Seaman is harder.
It has thick buckle that I felt it is much better made compared to some G Shock.
Pictures above shows the sides of the Baby G Seaman.
The Baby G engraving looks perfect on top of the dial. It is hard to take pictures outside since it is raining heavily during that time plus the shining back ground doesn't help either.
This watch also has the same case back as the baby G Frogman but has the word Seaman instead of Frogman. The frog also wearing the bangle too. It uses a 2050 module and has been made in Japan A
The color is not black but more to grey
It has a blue illuminator light. The shark also appear every time you push the light button.
The dial looks identical to the G Shock Frogman. The watch is not as small as you think it was. Even though it was made for women, the watch is 43 in diameter.
Since their first introduction, Casio does not introduce new frogman/Seaman for the Baby G unlike G Shock they already have 5 new frogman model.
The shark does appear every 30 second on top of the dial as seen on the picture.

G Shock DW-5600EG-9 Fox Fire

I don't usually buy G Shock from local online seller. After offloading some of my collection due to personal reasons, the temptation of buying G Shock coming back after I met Bobostrobos who regularly sms me asking questions about G Shock. Last Friday I came across a local website who selling this pre-loved watch at an affordable price. I made a phone call to him and the rest is history.
The watch is professionally packed and what amazed me is that I also received a receipt for my purchased. Cool.
This is a G Shock DW-5600EG-9. Number 9 represents yellow color and uses a 1545 module. It is made in Korea C
The previous owner has replaced the original bezel and band with after market parts. That's why you see a white protection and G Shock wording on the bezel. The band also does not match with the model. Surprisingly he put a DW6600/DW6900 band on it. I still haven't decided yet whether I would replace the band or keep as it is.
I have owned a G Shock DW-5600EG-9 before but I have sold it long ago. I knew where to get the original band with gold buckle for it but the price was too high for me.
But this one is special. It has a Fox Fire instead of illuminator.
I am over the moon when I received the watch and does not clean the dial properly. The module and glass was still in great shape with no visible scratch on it.
The previous owner does not keep the watch manual or box anymore. I am considering myself very luck to own this watch.
This watch was released on June 1996 and has been discontinued.
Picture above shows my DW5600 Fox Fire with my other Fox Fire collection, the DW-6900A-2JF and DW-6600B-1A.
I always looking for newer G Shock model when I surf the Internet but ended up with these three 0ld style G Shock model, the DW5600, DW6900 and DW6600. Maybe I just can live without it. Picture above shows my DW-5600EG-9 Fox Fire with his new friends.
Now lets sing a song...

(If you're happy and you know it)

If you're happy and you know it,
Clap your hands
(Clap hands twice)
If you're happy and you know it,
Then your face will surely show it
If you're happy and you know it,
Clap your hands.

(Clap hands twice)

My G Shock DW6900CS-4 BMX collaboration

I believe most of us do have fond memories about BMX. I am lucky to get the chance to make my own collaboration here between my Casio G Shock DW6900CS-4 and BMX. Although there is no real BMX bike to relate to this collaboration just a pink round neck T-shirt should be enough for me.
This pink T-shirt is made by Anvil
It has the logo "off the wall" on the left chest
Some people especially male adult will stay away from pink related color. But for me pink is something special but you need a matching shirt to make it more appealing.
With Casio keeps introduce more color option in their line up, I would say that in some way people will accept the idea of having strange color appearance.
Most people I know still prefer black color G Shock. To make a change is not an easy task. If you stick to one color Gs then you will probably miss all the excitement. Btw, I am just a poor G Shock collector that my finance won't permit me to buy expensive limited edition G Shock. This is my attempt to make my own G Shock collaboration. Hope you like it

Casio G Shock Riseman received bikeradar review

The Casio G Shock Riseman GW9200 received bikeradar review on August 22nd. Bikeradar does not usually make review about watches, but this one is special....Below are some of thier review about the watch.

The Riseman is a sturdy outdoors watch with some useful features.

For a start, it’s solar-powered, so it won’t eat batteries when using its altimeter (which can be calibrated to work with either absolute or relative altitudes), barometer and temperature gauge. It also receives time calibration via daily radio signals for six global territories, including Europe and the UK.

The display is easy to navigate, too. The backlight is clear and precise, and the light is large and easy to hit with gloves on.

The temperature sensor is roughly 7° out on the wrist, and takes about 30 minutes to equalise with ambient air temperature when taken off. Alternatively, strap it to your hydration pack for a precise reading.

It may lack the outdoors functions and electronic compass of Suunto’s Core, but it’s cheaper and still incredibly useful.

... and here's my review that I've made about this watch. The differences between my Riseman and this one is my Riseman does not receive radio signal a.k.a wave ceptor.

G Shock G-5500JC-9

When I started collecting G Shock a few years ago, this is one of the G Shocks line that I really like. However, because of its unique color, I am afraid that people will think I am crazy wearing this. Few years have pass and I have owned several colorful G Shocks and my friends have accepted the uniqueness of these brand watch.
After browsing e-bay, I found that this G Shock G-5500JC-9 was no longer available for sell. I got lucky when the shop dealer that I regularly go still have this 1 last piece for sell. This watch was released around May 2007 and has been discontinued.
If you had a chance to buy these watch, there will be no two identical watch since the mix of two separate color will not produce the same pattern.
This watch is Solar powered and uses a 3062 module. I really like the negative display with camo style combination.
This watch is perfect especially for those who have a huge wrist. The other model that has the same band and bazel is the latest GLS-5500. But it uses a different module. You can see a small different between this watches. The small Tough Solar wording on the earlier G-5500 was put at the bottom right of the dial and the later model was put at the top middle of the dial. Here's the wrist picture of the watch.
Street, a popular fashion distinctive color scheme "Jam'in Color (Color Benjamin)."
Create a single music player in a more improvisational "jam", such as molded resin is used to mix the two natural colors.
G-5500JC yellow color scheme that combines the street scene reflected on the black finish on a tough color. The same pattern without forming a natural model to produce the New personality model.

G Shock GLS-5600L-4

After a long break from buying new G Shock for months, I decided to buy this red hot G Shock GLS-5600L-4. I have never before own any red G Shock, so this new red G Shock is a little special for me. I still can't believed how I bought this one. This watch was not on my list, but when I saw it, I knew it will be a unique G Shock. This discontinued watch was released in October 2009.
I believed this watch has the same DW-5600 model bezel but the module was different. It uses a a modern 3178 module. You can can find the same module in a GLS-5500 model. Some of the improvements of this module that it can stand low temperature up to -20 degree Celsius and world time.
One of the unique feature of this watch was the quilted style leather band. There's also a G Lide label on the band which is simple and nice.
However, I strongly believed that this band will not stand a daily use unlike the resin band. It is best if you can rotate the wrist time if you plan to buy one.
A wrist picture of this watch on my left hand. Finally, If you like red and you a fan of G Shock watch, this is one of the good looking red G Shock. Here's some of the Casio Japan translation about this watch...

G Shock DW-6900MS Military Inspired

This newly bought G Shock DW6900MS belongs to my friend, Megat. After we had a good discussion on what current G Shock models that is a good buy to start off, I suggested him to buy this Military Inspired 6900 series which I believed will be great for beginner or long time G shock follower.
Even though this model was not a limited edition series, I found out that the watch is becoming hard to find in our local watch shops.
The watch has a 1289 module inside and has been made in Thailand.
The number (1289=module number) on the band really add some military look to the watch.
The red letters on the ring was perfect. Here's some translation from the official G Shock Japan website about this watch:

Popular street design standard G-SHOCK darkness of the color from the theme of "MAT BLACK RED EYE (Red Eye Matte Black)" appeared.
Matt uses a black whole, adopting the image of coloring activities in the moonless night. LCD LCD and also reversed the direction of unity with the body. The reversal of the red LCD is easy to see in the dark, EL backlight when the lights to ensure adequate visibility in the emission. New Black finished in cool tones model.
If you look more closely to the picture above, The Frogman MS doesn't have the same matte black as the DW-6900MS. The frogman surprising has black/silver metallic like color on it. Even though they are from the same series, they are both different even in color. I hope this G Shock DW-6900MS will not be the last G Shock watch he bought. May he be in great health wearing this beauty...
