They use extra light DT Swiss hubs in the rear and their self constructed Lightweight hubs. The decisive role in producing this extra light wheels plays the kind of our extra light sandwich structure in the rims itself. The Lightweight Obermayer technology comes directly from the famous Lightweight L´Alpe d´Huez model what was developed on behalf of one of the leading pro tour teams for special use in the uphill time trial race during the Tour de France 2004. Many of the innovations that have been developed out of this team work have found their way into the current Obermayer model. The result is an extremely lightweight competition wheel with nearly unbeatable stiffness. The stiffness of the Obermayer wheels is the same as you can find at their Standard wheels and takes a leading position among all the lightweight wheelsets in the world.
