Ellsworth Moment

Ellsworth incorporated every technology available to make this, the bike of bikes, an American work of art. With combination of CNC machining and drawn, shaped, swaged and tapered tubes, which will lighten and strengthen this blaster it also gets the asymmetrical chainstay. Refinements meet new goals of stiffness and weight reduction. The main triangle uses a curved top tube, is ovalized at the head tube and seat tube, squared in the middle, improving stiffness and stand over clearance. The new trapezoidal down tube reduces weight and increases stiffness. The new rear end uses wider, square chainstays for drability and stiffness as well as a new shape for better tire and heel clearance. The rocker has been taken inboard improved clearance and reduced weight.

The All Mountain catagory has been increasing, but there are still big differences in the bikes. Compared to the Epiphany the Moment is the big brother. It still has all the pedal efficiency, but allows you to take the bigger hits with more confidence. For those of you looking for more durability but want to keep the bike weights down this is the bike for you. The Moment is remarkable because it can be built up as a 28lb trail bike or converted to a light freeride bike in the same afternoon.
ICT™ Technology: Instant Center Tracking™ is internationally patented and quantifiably the most energy-efficient suspension design in the world, period. Internationally acclaimed, ICT four-bar linkage technology provides up to 100% pedal power efficiency by aligning the instant center of the linkage on the chain torque line and continually tracking it throughout the range of travel. What does that mean in layman's terms? It means ICT allows pedal power to propel the rider forward without power loss, effectively avoiding the common suspension design flaw that divides pedal inputs into a wasteful combination of forward and vertical (jacking or bobbing) motions. ICT-equipped bikes are legendary for their rare combination of responsive performance and plush suspension that can be found nowhere else. All ICT-equipped bikes feature 12mm pivot axles and oversized bearings for superior pivot stability and lateral stiffness under power. Our commitment to raising the limits of suspension technology, innovation and performance.
